City Planner Lassonde presented recommendations from the March 25 Traffic and Safety Committee. The committee advised waiting to implement traffic calming on Raymond Drive until traffic increases with development and recommended delaying reinstallation of temporary speed tables on Haughton Avenue so they remain available for potential temporary installation on Raymond Drive and Pleasant View Drive.
Lassonde also reported Nicollet County had approved a temporary access point off County Road 41 (Rockford Road) to support construction of a new subdivision. The committee recommended developing a policy that outlines procedures for responding to citizen requests for speed table installation. The council approved the committee’s recommendations on a motion by Council Member Peterson, seconded by Council Member Steiner; the vote was unanimous.
