At the start of its April 7 meeting, the North Mankato City Council recognized two patrol officers for impaired‑driving enforcement efforts. Scott McConkey, Southern Minnesota Liaison from the Office of Traffic Safety, presented Patrol Officer Anthony Daily with a Hat Trick Award for making three impaired driving arrests during one shift and presented Patrol Officer Nick Herwig with a 2024 All‑Star Honorable Mention for his efforts combating impaired driving.
Mayor Carlson and council members acknowledged the awards. The recognition was ceremonial; no council action was required.
