UW Extension educators Amy Smith and Shelbie Hanlon briefed the commissioners on Extension programming and 4‑H preparations for the Goshen County Fair. The report outlined a busy summer: Showcase Showdown attendance numbered 42 youth, multiple 4‑H teams placed at competitions, and fair entries opened June 15 with the fair scheduled for July 25–August 1, 2026.
Hanlon and Smith detailed ongoing activities—robotics and livestock practices, clinics and judging practice—and the Extension's role in fair logistics and youth training. The Board accepted the UW Extension report.
