The Pateros City Council on Nov. 17 authorized the mayor and City Administrator Jord Wilson to negotiate with Douglas PUD regarding a potential land transfer and set a public hearing for Dec. 15, 2025.
Councilmember Frank Herbert moved the authorization; Holly Bange seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Administrator Wilson described the proposal and said future sewer, water and other infrastructure needs motivated the potential transfer; he also said only limited changes to management and operation of the Methow Boat Launch and Peninsula Park were anticipated.
The council will consider the transfer again following the Dec. 15 public hearing; no sale terms or transfer details were recorded in the minutes.
