Daggett County commissioners on March 17 approved Engineering Agreement Modification #2 for the Manila Airport interlocal agreement, increasing the contract by $11,420.08 to continue work on the ILA.
Bret Reynolds updated the commission on airport lighting work, saying, "They are working on getting it nighttime certified." Commissioner Randy Asay moved to approve the modification and Commissioner Matt Tippets seconded; the motion carried with Tippets and Asay voting yes and Commissioner Jack Lytle recorded as absent/excused.
The advertisement for bids on the airport project is out with proposals due April 7. Attorney Kent Snider confirmed he had received a document from Blackcat related to the Manila Airport and said he will sign it. The vote formalizes the county’s authorization to increase the engineering work to support certification and related tasks.
The commission did not allocate additional discrete funding in the meeting minutes beyond the stated modification amount; staff will proceed with procurement and next steps tied to the existing ILA and advertised bid schedule.
