The Chelsea School District Board approved a large package of Thrun policies to take effect July 1, 2025, covering policy areas including graduation funds, registered sex offenders (students), entrance age and enrollment, special education, student health and safety, extracurricular activities, and other instructional and student-services topics. Multiple motions to adopt grouped sets of Thrun policies were made and passed by roll call (motions recorded across the agenda items listing specific policy codes).
The Board also approved Action Item 132-24-25 to archive current NEOLA policies except for specified Title IX policies and one ESTA policy, effective July 1. Motions on the record repeatedly used the phrasing "Motion to approve the Thrun Policies to be in effect July 1, 2025," and each of those motions passed by roll call with six votes in favor and one absent member.
