Chelsea Board adopts 2024–25 amended budget, accepts preliminary 2025–26 budget

The Chelsea School District Board of Education approved the 2024–25 Final Amended Budget and accepted the 2025–26 Preliminary Budget and preliminary L-4029 tax rate during its June 23 meeting; the items were included in the consent agenda that passed by roll call (Yea 6, Absent 1). Nicole Lechner presented the budgets during the Board’s budget hearing.
Lechner and administration noted financing steps tied to an upcoming bond issuance, including a bond rating call scheduled for June 24 to inform the district’s credit rating and financing terms. In her superintendent report the district also noted that a recent three-week digital marketing campaign "generated over 323,000 impressions," a figure the administration said supports future outreach tied to enrollment and staffing.
