The Chelsea School District Board approved two formal items during the Individual Action Items portion of the Sept. 8 meeting: appointment of an MASB delegate and adoption of the district's 2025–26 goals.
The Board approved Erin Hunt-Carter as the district's Michigan Association of School Boards (MASB) delegate with Nicolia Heineman named as the alternate. The motion to approve the MASB delegate was made by Heidi Reyst and seconded by Eric Wilkinson and passed by recorded vote (6–0, 1 absent).
The Board also approved Superintendent Kapolka's recommended Chelsea School District Goals for 2025–26. That motion was made by Michelle Craig and seconded by Nicolia Heineman and passed unanimously among present members. The minutes do not include the text of the goals in the transcript provided; the approval moves the goals into effect as the Board's stated priorities for the year.
