Planning Commission elects Vice Chair Munoz as chair, names Justin Hedrick vice chair

At the Aug. 5 meeting the Planning Commission elected Vice Chair Munoz as chair and Justin Hedrick as vice chair by voice vote after nominations; both accepted their nominations.
During officer elections, Commissioner (nominator) moved to nominate Vice Chair Munoz for the chair position and the nomination was seconded; Munoz accepted. "I do accept," Munoz said after being nominated. Commissioners then nominated Justin Hedrick for vice chair; the motion was seconded and Hedrick accepted, and both motions carried by voice vote.
The chair and vice-chair elections were procedural and took place early in the meeting; the new chair presided over the remainder of the session and staff noted orientation and training will be scheduled for new commissioners.
