Mayor: interim clerk Dobek to run clerk and treasurer offices as city implements GovSense

Mayor Dolby told the council she appointed Clerk Dobek as interim clerk/treasurer to run both departments while the council and committees decide on long-term structure. She said staff have begun implementing GovSense software, which will allow the public and council better access to account balances, anticipated revenues and expenses in real time.
The mayor said she plans to meet with the finance and personnel committees to discuss restructuring and to ensure clarity about future responsibilities. She also asked residents to route monetary donations to the animal shelter through the city so donations can be properly accounted for.
