Clarence approves special-event and fireworks permits, with conditions

The Town Board approved a series of special-event and fireworks permits. The 50th annual Clarence Arts and Crafts Society fall show was approved for Sept. 12–13, 2026 at Main Town Park Clubhouse, contingent upon meeting special-event conditions and providing a certificate of insurance naming the town as an additional insured.
The board also approved a fireworks display permit for the Clarence Center Volunteer Fire Company for July 25, 2026 (9:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.) at 9415 Clarence Center Road, contingent on required paperwork, fees, insurance and fire chief approval. Brookfield Country Club was approved for fireworks displays on Aug. 1, 8 and 15, 2026, each from 9 p.m. to 10 p.m., also subject to standard conditions.
Board members noted the events underwent usual review and emphasized that approvals were conditional on receipt of documentation and fire-department signoffs. No public objections were recorded on these items at the meeting.
