Applicant representatives for 7631 Transit Road LLC asked the board to schedule a public hearing on a proposed retail building for Lehi supplies at 7631 Transit Road. Sean Hopkins, representing the applicant, described the project and asked the board to set the hearing as soon as possible.
"Sean Hopkins on behalf of the applicant. 7631 Transit Road LLC," Hopkins said, later adding, "We're seeking a special exception use permit for a retail building in excess of 10,000 square feet." The board discussed timing of public hearings and the standard mailing/process requirements for neighbors; no opposition speakers were recorded at this meeting.
Councilmember moved to set the public hearing and explicitly called for Aug. 12 at 10:15 a.m.; the motion was seconded and carried. The applicant noted that the project already received a negative declaration, a use variance and concept plan approval from prior boards and that planning-board recommendations will be incorporated in subsequent submissions.
The board did not vote on the permit itself; it only scheduled the public hearing and reserved further review and comment for that hearing.
