Town approves trial Epic Bounce inflatable park at Stratton Way, limits hours and requires safeguards

The Clarence Town Board voted to allow Epic Bounce USA to operate a 35,000-square-foot inflatable theme park at 4431 Bridal and Stratton Way on a trial basis, with the permit set to expire Aug. 31 unless the board approves an extension. The motion, which passed by roll call after amendments limiting hours and adding operational conditions, requires the applicant to obtain operating permits, carry liability insurance naming the town as additional insured for at least $1,000,000, and meet inspections by town departments prior to opening.

Neighbors raised sustained concerns about noise, traffic and the long duration proposed through October. Resident Fred Koehler told the board, "I urge the board to vote and turn it down." The applicant, owner Ferrell Page, emphasized safety protocols and attendance controls, saying the operation has a track record: "we've had 0 0 incidents" during past events. The board required that speakers be directed away from residential properties, that generators and blowers be shut off within one hour of closing (except for necessary maintenance), and that all parking, deliveries and food-truck activity occur on-site within the fenced facility. The board also committed to re-notifying neighbors if an extension is requested for the Aug. 26 meeting.
