Board approves new and revised courses for GLVP, GLMS and GLHS

Assistant Superintendent Drew Bordner presented curriculum proposals for the district. The board approved GLVP new courses and updates, GLMS proposals (3-D Art, 8th Grade Novel Study, General Music) and a slate of GLHS course proposals including AP Business with Personal Finance; AP Spanish Language and Culture; Broadway!; DECA Success Strategies; Math 9 Essentials; Strength & Fitness Female Focus; Studio Theatre; Unscripted; and Personal Finance course content updates.
Secretary Mini Paulose-Murphy moved the curriculum approvals on behalf of the Curriculum Committee and the motions passed unanimously. The minutes record course titles and indicate review by Thrun Law for GLVP materials; syllabi, specific credit or implementation timelines were not included in the meeting minutes.
