At the Jan. 19, 2026 organizational meeting of the Gull Lake Community Schools Board of Trustees, members elected their 2026 officers by unanimous consent. Trustee Carole Mendez was elected board president; Trustee Desiree LaDuke was elected vice president; and Trustee Mini Paulose-Murphy was elected secretary. The board also nominated Trustee Laura Zervic as treasurer; the minutes show Zervic as elected by unanimous consent, though she was listed as absent on the roll.
President Mendez appointed Trustee Krystal Scott-Rhodes as backup to the secretary in the event Secretary Paulose-Murphy is absent. The board approved committee assignments and the regular meeting schedule as presented.
