Board honors retirees and approves hires, retirements and policy updates in consent vote

The board formally recognized six retirees and approved multiple personnel items including the retirement of Kristin Bieszczad and others, and the hire of Rachel Quillian as choir teacher for 2025–26. The board recognized retirees Kristin Bieszczad, Sonya Healy, Michael Martin, Lisa Robinson, Todd Robinson and Renae Smith and expressed appreciation for their service to Marysville Public Schools. The recognition was followed by a brief recess before the meeting resumed.
As part of the consent grouping, the board approved the retirement requests listed in the exhibits and the recommended hire of Rachel Quillian as choir teacher for the 2025–26 academic year (Exhibit F). The consent package also included approval to repeal and replace several board policies with THRUN policy numbers and adoption of board goals established June 9, 2025. The full set of personnel and policy actions was approved by a 5–0 vote.
