Marysville board to consider replacing multiple MASB policies with THRUN package

Superintendent Tracie Eschenburg presented a resolution recommending the repeal of several current MASB policies and the adoption of a THRUN policy package, with board action scheduled for the district’s June 19, 2025 meeting. Eschenburg said the changes would be incorporated into employee and student handbooks that will be presented for approval in July.
The packet distributed to trustees lists the MASB policies proposed for repeal (including #2450, #2780, #5030, #8045, #8130, #8140, #8515, #8670, #8710, #8720 and #8940) and the replacement THRUN numbers (3115 and accompanying 3115 A–H, 3118, 5102, 5103, 5207, 5307, 5309, 5507, 5510, 5703 and 5709). Eschenburg framed the recommendation as an administrative update to align district policy texts with the THRUN package; trustees did not take a vote at the June 11 informational meeting and formal consideration is listed on the June 19 agenda.
