Board repeals MASB anti-bullying policy and adopts THRUN policy #5207
Summary
After a second reading and prior public hearing, the Marysville Board voted to repeal MASB policy #8260 and adopt the THRUN anti-bullying policy #5207. The replacement policy was approved as part of the consent grouping on June 19, 2025.
The Board approved a resolution to repeal the existing MASB anti-bullying policy (#8260) and replace it with the proposed THRUN anti-bullying policy (#5207) following a second reading. Superintendent Tracie Eschenburg reported the policy had been available for public review and had been the subject of a public hearing on June 11, 2025.
The policy change was taken as part of the consent grouping and approved on a 5–0 vote. The board's action records the repeal of the prior policy and adoption of #5207 (Exhibit P) to govern the district's anti-bullying procedures going forward. Board documentation of the second reading and public hearing are retained with the meeting exhibits.
