Board approves first readings of discipline, course-materials and grading policies

At its Sept. 23, 2025 meeting, the Pioneer School District board approved first readings for three district policies: Policy 3241 (Student Discipline), Policy 2020 (Course Design, Selection & Adoption of Instructional Materials), and Policy 2420 (Grading & Progress Report).
Mr. Lee moved to approve the first reading of Policy 3241; Mr. Clark seconded. Mr. Lee also moved the first reading of Policy 2020 with Mr. Clark seconding, and Mr. Clark moved the first reading of Policy 2420 with Dr. Day seconding. Each motion passed unanimously and the board scheduled second readings for the Oct. 27, 2025 meeting.
The first readings put the policies on the board’s path for adoption pending the required second readings, allowing the public and staff time to review the proposed language before final action.
