Highway department reports dust-control work and fills two positions; crew now fully staffed

At the July 22 meeting T.A. Miner and Selectman Ben Kilanski updated the Selectboard on highway operations: the Highway Department received its calcium chloride delivery and treated Jones Road, Piney Woods, Scotland Road and Old Scotland Road for dust control. Officials said they will continue treatments on the other side of town in the coming days.
Kilanski also reported that two highway job openings were filled following interviews: one hire began immediately and the other is scheduled to start next week, returning the department to full staffing for ongoing maintenance and summer work.
