"The proposal is not consistent with the future land use map," Commissioner Lamphere said during her motion, citing figures that would raise density in the immediate area from about 16.5 (200-foot radius) to roughly 29 units per acre and noting a lack of guaranteed off-street parking. The commission voted 5–0 in favor of a negative recommendation to the zoning board; the item will be considered by the Zoning Board with the commission's negative referral on record.
