A presenter (speaker 9) reported that the pond‑lighting project is complete, all bills have been paid and the project raised roughly $76,000 from community sources. The speaker named several institutional donors and thanked community sponsors for their gifts.
"That project, just to kinda bring you up to date, ended up generating about $76,000 from public, just the people here in Henry County," the presenter said, and listed Henry County Community Foundation, Henry County Hospital Foundation, Henry County REMC and Duke Energy among supporters. He said plaques will be ordered for sponsoring families and organizations.
Board members acknowledged the successful fundraising and named volunteers and contractors who helped with installation and lighting. The presenter also recognized Dave Detmer for his lighting work.
Next steps: order and install donor plaques and finalize the remote control replacement for lights; presenter said an extra remote control and plaques have been ordered.
