Superintendent outlines summer programs, facilities projects and school-of-choice results

Superintendent Adam Bowen provided the board with operational updates for summer: "Day Camp begins Monday, June 30," and "Summer School begins Tuesday, July 1." Bowen also announced a Foundation nonprofit stakeholders event at the library on June 30 to build community partnerships, noted a schedule of July repair and improvement projects across district campuses, and said the board retreat is scheduled for July 28.
Bowen reported the School of Choice review had closed and that the district expected to accept approximately 20 School of Choice students for the coming year and had received three tuition applications so far. He reiterated that River Valley, as the lead district for baseball, will handle final approval of recommended coaching hires.
