Tioga approves $12,734.50 bleachers purchase as South ball fields near completion

The Tioga City Commission on July 20 approved a $12,734.50 quote from Sports Facility to supply bleachers for the South softball field. Commissioner Kyle Ralston made the motion and Commissioner Cody Normark seconded; roll call recorded ayes for Ralston, Iverson, Normark and Rieniets.
Moore Engineering's Josh Reiner said Veit has started construction on the South ball field and "He anticipates that fields to be complete by the end of the month and ready for final walk through." Reiner also presented options for benches and noted the scoreboard remote needs replacement; President Brett Rieniets requested an extra base at first and an orange safety base be installed.
The Commission directed Ralston to review the project independently and follow up with Reiner on identified task items. The meeting minutes say a geotechnical engineer recently visited S Main Street and Benson Street and that the engineer's report is expected in the near future.
