Development Services Director Hilburn (Speaker 6) briefed the council on final plans for the Osage Lane (Hunt Property) sewer lift station and said most infrastructure is in place; the remaining work is electrical connection and pumps. "The revised engineer's opinion of probable cost is 765,940," Hilburn said, explaining the increase largely stems from the need for more powerful pumps to meet current Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) requirements, plus inflation and supply-chain and labor issues.
Hilburn said the team will finish final design, prepare bids, coordinate funding and proceed with community outreach; staff anticipates preparing the project for bid and hopes contractors will respond given increased availability in the market. Council members asked about packet discrepancies in cost figures and timing; Hilburn acknowledged a packet number difference and said bids, funding coordination and outreach are the next steps. No motion was required; the council provided feedback to proceed.
