Council approves amended hours for BOSTA one-night event after applicant agrees to cleanup time

The committee approved a one-night private-event liquor and entertainment request for BOSTA (doing business as BOSTA/Basta) on Aug. 15 and amended the hours to 6 p.m. through 11:30 p.m. The applicant said the event would host about 150 guests, would rent a trolley shuttle for parking, and that a police detail had already been ordered. Justin Braun, identified as the director of operations for BOSTA, addressed the committee and confirmed event logistics.
A motion to amend the hours to 11:30 p.m. was made, seconded and passed on a roll-call vote; the subsequent motion to approve the event as amended also passed on a roll-call vote. The committee noted the applicant had ordered the required detail and that the extra half hour would be for safe egress and cleanup.
