Legacy 4‑H leaders brief Lucas council on community activities, introduce new manager

Marie Radcab, an adult leader with Legacy 4‑H, told the Lucas City Council on June 19 that the club has been active in the community for years, distributing about 200 trees each Arbor Day, leading cleanup events and participating as a Farmers Market vendor. "My name is Marie Radcab. I've been an adult leader with the Legacy 4 H for the past 10 years," she said.
Radcab described the club's regional reach — members come from Fairview, Allen, Lowry Crossing, Princeton and McKinney — and highlighted fundraising and youth leadership activities. She introduced Christy Freeman as the new main club manager; Freeman thanked the council and said she looks forward to continuing the club's relationship with the city. "Please let me know if there's anything that our club can do to help strengthen the community," Freeman said.
Council members thanked Legacy 4‑H for longstanding service, emphasized the importance of youth programming to Farmers' Day and other events, and invited the club to tell staff how the city can support upcoming activities. The club's remarks occurred during the community-interest portion of the June 19 Lucas City Council meeting.
