The Lorain County Board of Commissioners on May 5 approved Sanitary Sewer Improvement Agreements with Pulte Homes of Ohio LLC for Del Webb Hickory Greens Subdivisions No. 5 and No. 6 in Columbia Township. County staff said the new sanitary sewers will be located within easements granted to the Lorain County Sanitary Engineer and, once completed, will be owned and maintained by the Sanitary Engineer.
Klaiber described the agreements as standard developer obligations that outline responsibilities for satisfactory installation and noted the assistant county prosecutor reviewed the agreements "as to form." The board adopted both resolutions by voice vote (Ayes: Gallagher & Riddell; Absent: Moore-excused). During public comment, residents asked for clarification about west-side sewer plans and whether those projects would connect to existing regional systems such as LORCO.
