Chief Adam Myron gave the monthly report for May, listing 1,072 blotter reports, 340 traffic stops, 140 traffic summonses, four motor-vehicle accidents and three arrests; he said the department recorded no use-of-force incidents and averaged about a 3.5-minute response time for the month. "For May 2025, the Greenwood Lake Police Department handled 1,072 blotter reports, conducted 340 traffic stops, issued a 140 traffic summonses...Our average response time for the month of May was approximately 3.5 minutes," Myron said.
The board approved a set of personnel and contract items affecting the police department: Resolution 2 authorizes an agreement with the United Federation of Police Officers for dispatchers and clerks, Resolution 3 authorizes a memorandum of agreement with the Greenwood Lake PBA, Resolution 4 authorizes the police chief's employment contract for 06/01/2025–05/31/2026, and Resolution 8 authorizes purchase of two Chevy Tahoe vehicles to be paid with a grant procured by department leadership.
