Pontiac school board adds "hot mic" item and revisits formal complaint

At its Dec. 15 special meeting the Pontiac City School District board unanimously amended the agenda to add discussion of "hot mic" issues and to revisit a formal complaint, then approved the amended agenda.
Board President Dr. Anisha Hannah convened the Pontiac City School District board at 5:00 PM on Dec. 15 at the WHRC Little Theater. During roll call the board moved to alter the meeting’s order to add two items for discussion: "hot mic" issues and a formal complaint. "MOTION WAS MADE TO AMEND THE AGENDA TO ADD FOR DISCUSSION THE HOT MIC ISSUES AND REVISIT FORMAL COMPLAINT- APPROVED," the minutes record; the motion was moved by Trustee Jennifer Dooley and supported by Trustee Tanisha Miller and passed with all members present voting aye (Davis-Smith, Dooley, Gross, Hannah, Miller, Terry, Bowman).
After the amendment vote, Dooley moved to approve the amended agenda and G. Kevin Gross seconded; the minutes note the motion was approved unanimously. The addition of the items preceded the board's decision to enter a closed session later in the meeting to address personnel and legal matters, as reflected in subsequent motions.
