The Davis County Audit Committee on Aug. 3 finalized a contract for an external risk assessment and directed the consultant to begin surveys and interviews across departments. Controller Scott Parke said a preliminary assessment has started and that Tyler Plastow will present details to department heads at the monthly AO meeting.
Committee members set a target to complete the assessment by the next Audit Committee meeting on November 4, 2026. The assessment will rely on survey responses and interviews to identify countywide risks and recommend control improvements; the committee asked for a written report and return presentation to discuss next steps and any required follow-up.
