On March 20 the board heard a Curriculum Committee report seeking approval in April for new textbooks for advanced courses. The materials under review included an AP Environmental Science textbook and three IB titles: a digital IB Spanish text, a digital IB Sports/Exercise and Health Science text, and an IB Theory of Knowledge title. Committee members noted the College Board requires AP texts to be published within the last 10 years.
District staff said the textbooks were brought for information and would return to the board for a formal approval vote at the April 24, 2025 regular meeting. The board's Curriculum Committee reviewed the request on March 13 and forwarded the materials for full-board consideration.
