Interns digitized decades of Granville County commission minutes, county says

An intern team converted thousands of scanned pages of Granville County Board of Commissioners minutes dating back to 1984 into a searchable digital database and helped build a new boards-and-commissions tracking system.
Tyler Jastrow, a participant in the county's summer civic internship, said interns worked in the administration office to convert old bound meeting minutes into a searchable resource.
"We also completed the significant task of merging thousands of individually scanned pages into a searchable digital database of board of commissioners meeting minutes dating back to 1984," Jastrow said. He added that the new boards and commissions database will preserve historical records, track member attendance and streamline advisory board applications.
