The Norfolk Conservation Commission voted unanimously July 13 to send a letter supporting the Norfolk Land Trust’s state grant application to purchase the Betteridge property on Loon Meadow Road, a parcel where recent logging was reported. Becky Eaton moved the motion and Bill Ticineto seconded; the motion carried without opposition.
The commission noted the Land Trust will need to monitor conditions on the property if the purchase proceeds. "Becky moved that the commission send a letter supporting the Land Trust's grant application for the Betteridge property," the minutes record. Chair Susannah Wood said she will follow up on related budget and administrative items as needed and report back to the commission.
