Hines police report 301 calls in 30 days; thefts and juvenile incidents rising

Sergeant Mitchell reported to the Hines Common Council that the department recorded 301 calls in the last 30 days and has seen an uptick in thefts, juvenile-related incidents, animal complaints and criminal mischief. He said the department executed a couple of search warrants in coordination with Burns and recorded an increase in domestic violence calls.
Mitchell also said officers completed 163 traffic stops and noted motor vehicle crashes are high in the reporting period. Council did not take formal action on the report; the department’s data was submitted for council awareness and potential follow-up.
