Planning Commission sends 2025 annual report to BOCC and elects Wilson Freeland chair

The Planning Commission reviewed its 2025 annual report, which summarized planning, zoning and development review activities, administrative actions, and training and outreach during the prior year. Staff noted adoption of the new county zoning ordinance in February 2025 (effective March 1, 2025), concept and subdivision statistics, and administrative work such as meeting schedules and bylaws updates.
Commissioners then nominated and elected new officers for the coming year. A nomination for Wilson Freeland as chair carried (voice vote recorded as 6–0) and Christopher (Chris) Gadway was elected vice chair. The commission also moved to forward the 2025 Planning Commission annual report to the Board of County Commissioners; that motion carried on voice vote.
With elections complete and the annual report sent to the BOCC, the commission returned to remaining public comment and then adjourned.
