Chávez also noted that the County Office hosted the Curricular and Improvement Support Committee (CISC) Symposium, which he said had nearly 1,000 participants and included keynote sessions and breakout sessions led by educators from across California. He credited Executive Director Jared Prolo and other staff for planning and execution and said the events will have lasting professional benefits for educators and students in the county.
Chávez also offered brief acknowledgments and birthday wishes to staff and a board member during his remarks.
