Staff reports several rezonings, a batch-plant permit and a parking ordinance sent to City Council

Planning staff told the commission that a batch-plant specific-use permit was approved 4–1 by City Council and will return for second reading; a 6th Street parking ordinance received final reading and is adopted; four rezonings will appear at council for first readings and hearings.
Brady, a Planning Department staff member, told the Planning and Zoning Commission that several items the commission had forwarded have moved at City Council. "The batch plant specific use permit that I know you all considered a meeting or so ago, that was approved by council with a 4 1 vote at the last meeting," Brady said, and added that the item will be back on a non-consent agenda for a second reading.
Brady also reported that a 6th Street parking ordinance amendment "received approval with its 2nd and final reading" and is now adopted. He said four rezonings the commission considered previously—the downtown campus plan development, Town Square R3 expansion, Coulter Street general retail and an RV plan development on the north side of Starlight Ranch—will be on the next council agenda for first readings and public hearings. The commission did not take further action during this update.
