Councilwoman Graziano presented a draft amendment to Chapter 17 of the Cranston zoning code to require on-site stormwater management for smaller developments (under state thresholds) to reduce incremental impervious surface and the city's flood risk. Graziano said the draft was developed with planning staff and that she supports referring it to the planning commission for a public review process; she encouraged colleagues to attend planning meetings and submit amendments. "So this would be for new construction," she said, and asked the council to refer the ordinance to planning.
