Marysville board hears 2025 tax-rate request, schedules budget action for regular meeting

The Marysville Public Schools Board of Education held a public budget hearing June 19, 2025, at Marysville High School, where Business & Finance Director Jennifer McKay presented a 2025 tax rate request that will set millage rates for operating and debt purposes. President Dave Schmorrow opened the session at 6:30 p.m.; McKay told the Board that formal action on the tax rate would be requested during the Board's Regular meeting that evening.
"Ms. McKay shared information on the 2025 tax rate request, which will establish millage rates for operating and debt purposes for 2025," the minutes state. McKay also led discussion of the proposed 2025–26 budget recommendations and outlined that the Board would be asked to take action on the budget at its Regular Board meeting on June 19, 2025. No public commenters addressed the Board during the allotted citizen comment period.
