Planning Board requires documents, schedules Aug. 19 follow-up for 1354 Alfred Road application

At the end of the Aug. 5 hearing, the board summarized outstanding items that must be provided before it can issue final approval for the dispensary application at 1354 Alfred Road: a complete odor-control plan (narrative and equipment cut sheets), state DOT traffic counts for the roadway segment near the site, electrical load documentation for the planned 400-amp upgrade, and initial fire-inspector signoff.
Chair asked the applicant to provide those materials to Planning Department staff and said the town may require peer review (at applicant expense) for technical submittals. The board scheduled a follow-up public meeting on Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. and said it hopes to consider final approval at that session if the outstanding submittals are provided.
"If you could give that information to us at our next meeting, we hope for final approval," Chair said when directing the applicant on next steps. Planning staff advised the applicant how to obtain DOT traffic data and said the data often comes as a spreadsheet that will satisfy traffic-study requirements.
