Staff presented case 26118, a follow-on to a Board of Adjustment variance, requesting approval for removal and replacement of a near-grade deck at the historic residence 2702 Passargill Way. Staff said the deck is in poor condition following the 2024 storms, the new footprint matches the existing, and that decking would be HDPE with wood supports; no chemical treatments were proposed.
"We did find that the request meets the certificate of appropriateness criteria," staff said, recommending approval under the Secretary of the Interior standards because the work would not alter character-defining elements and could be removed in the future without damaging the primary structure. Member (S4) moved to approve the certificate of appropriateness; the motion was seconded and the clerk recorded a unanimous roll-call vote in favor. The board approved case 26118.
