Town Board adopts revised 2025 comprehensive plan after SEQRA negative declaration

The Town Board held a public hearing and adopted the revised 2025 comprehensive plan after issuing a negative declaration under the New York State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA). Morgan summarized that the plan is a guidance document intended to enhance existing character, said it is available online, and described the environmental assessment process staff completed.

The resolution states the Town Board reviewed Parts 1, 2 and 3 of the environmental assessment form and found the proposed comprehensive plan would not result in any significant adverse environmental impacts; the board then adopted the plan and directed staff to file, publish and circulate the negative declaration in accordance with SEQRA. The motion was adopted by roll call.

Morgan said the plan is intended to help secure funding and guide development in ways that "enhance what we already have," and staff committed to upload a concise summary and the full document for public review. The board also encouraged residents to submit questions or comments to the town office and noted further project‑level environmental reviews would occur if and when individual projects arise.
