Site Manager Sean Piatek updated the board on daily operations and equipment. He reported that transfer-station stickers are 'going well and they are up to 500,' the new credit-card machine has been installed and Point-and-Pay is in use, with signage posted at the front gate explaining payment options and fees.
Piatek said the compactor required substantial repairs: the floor was replaced, steel on the side will be replaced, and the ram was almost completely rebuilt. A new truck was out for routine servicing and a new loader had a coolant leak that has since been repaired. Dom DelVecchio added the paper-collection area had been temporarily shut down to repair a leaning fence post.
Piatek told the board he has received complaints about the higher sticker fee and that he has not yet received definitive information about a petty-cash theft; staff believe the theft may involve a past employee, but the matter is not resolved. He also noted there is a persistent puddle in front of the brush pile and suggested a concrete slab would be ideal.
