AP Family Fitness outlines festival, 5K and glow-mile at Central Park

Patrick, who identified himself as representing AP Family Fitness, told the Town Council about a planned festival at 275 Juliet Street that he said has grown to about 23 tents and vendors and roughly 11 fitness activities.
“It's starting off at 8AM with a 5 k. We're gonna have somebody out there to do, like, a recovery and stretch for 10, 15 minutes,” Patrick said, and said the public festival portion would run roughly 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. He asked the council to allow use of a 20-amp circuit for an inflatable arch blower and said organizers are recruiting volunteers, personal trainers and equipment (goals and nets) for games and obstacle courses.
Patrick also described family-friendly elements: bounce-house obstacle courses, adult and kids relay races, putt-putt and a glow-stick mile at 7:30 a.m. he said would be aimed at children and families. He asked the council and staff for help moving large equipment and for flexibility on timing as volunteers and vendors finalize logistics.
The council offered volunteer support and confirmed staff would coordinate with the organizer about power access and site layout. Patrick said he would share further details with town staff about insurance and any roster or vendor lists before the event.
The council did not take a formal vote on the festival request; staff follow-up was requested to confirm electrical access and final vendor details.
