During public comment at the Aug. 8 Employee-Management Committee meeting, Nora Johnson, Human Resource Analyst for the Division of Human Resource Management, acknowledged Chair Tracy DuPree's long service and announced that the August meeting was his last as EMC chair and his last Thursday as a state employee. "Tracy Dupree has sat on this committee for over a decade now and has recently been threatening us with retirement, and that time has finally come. It is Tracy's last hearing as our EMC Chair, Tracy's last Thursday as a state employee, and we just wanted to give you a small token of more appreciation to say thank you so much. Congratulations on your retirement," Johnson said.
Committee members responded with congratulations; an unidentified speaker said, "It is well deserved." Chair DuPree thanked members and said he would miss serving with them before adjourning the meeting. The committee recorded no additional substantive business after the public comment and adjourned.
