Thomas Johnson presented a lease enabling Edge Computing to supply internet services by leveraging the county's lease with the Denver Water site at Williams Fork. Johnson said the service provides 100 Mbps symmetric speeds and the price is $59.99 per month; commissioners clarified that this contract is separate from any vendor agreement to install telecommunications equipment on the Denver Water Board lease and approved the services contract.
The board discussed that the county had previously taken over a terminated provider lease and that other local providers now serve some coverage gaps; Johnson said the Edge arrangement fills an Internet hole to support Road & Bridge operations and other local needs.
