Board approves Axon services contract for sheriff’s body and car cameras

Wayne Shafer, speaking for the Grand County Sheriff’s Office, told commissioners that the previously authorized quote with Axon had advanced to a fully executed services contract and that legal review by both sides was complete. Shafer said the contract covers body cameras, car cameras, licensing, storage and retention necessary for the county’s body‑cam and car‑cam program and requested the chairman’s signature on the agreement.
Commissioners moved to approve the Axon services contract as presented and authorize the chair to sign applicable documents. No new fiscal figures were discussed on the floor beyond the motion to accept the executed agreement for signature.
