The Hague Town Board voted to pursue a New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation municipal parks grant that can fund up to $1,000,000 for park improvements and municipal facilities. The board also approved entering a contract with a grant preparer for $2,500 to prepare and submit the Consolidated Funding Application (CFA) for the town.
"This grant program will help provide funding for up to $1,000,000 to develop a new municipal parks and ... resources," the supervisor said while outlining that the town would commit up to $100,000 in matching funds if the application is successful. Board members encouraged residents to attend upcoming meetings to learn more about the visitor/community-center proposal and emphasized grant competitions and timelines.
