Staff flags accessibility issues in BFRT Phase 3 design; easement negotiations continue for planned parking

Marcia Rasmussen told the committee she reviewed the 75% design for Bruce Freeman Rail Trail Phase 3 prepared by Fuss & O’Neill and identified several elements "that could be improved regarding accessibility"; she sent a memorandum outlining those items to the consultant on July 6. Rasmussen said the staff review covers potential accessibility improvements and other design items that will be addressed before final design.
Rasmussen also reported that Town Counsel and Chiswick Park’s attorney are attempting to finalize an easement for the planned parking lot tied to Phase 3, but additional follow-up is needed. She noted that Framingham residents on Eaton Road West have reached out with questions about the Phase 3 plans and that staff will respond to those inquiries.
